Résumé :
A coming-of-age novel about a young girl named Rosella Mae Edwards, whose story starts at the age of six and moves along until she's in high school. By the end, the only question left to ask is... How many times will she get knocked down before she can't get up again? Rosella is a girl who sometimes gets into fights trying to hold her own against mostly boys. A lot of the time she's stuck in her own head figuring out why people act the way they do. She loves her auntie's cooking, watching cartoons, spending time with her friends, and being nosey. On the other hand, she still has troubles avoiding the prejudices suffocating her town. In this story Rose tries her best to live the life she knows while still figuring out what it is that she wants. Whether that's love, peace, or freedom, she knows all too well that she can't have it all....
