Présentation Buoyant Passages Format Relié

Résumé :
What started as a short account of author Daniel J. Demers' ancestors, including their arrival in Canada and the many challenges they faced while striving to establish a life here, soon morphed into a memoir of the author's own life as well. While the book still begins by recounting his family's history before and after their arrival in Canada, the bulk of it focuses on Daniel's own life experiences, particularly his unique role as an identical twin and the many adventures he's had while exploring Canada's natural wonders. As a result, this memoir winds up being a celebration not only of his family's history but also of the limitless options for escape, adventure, and discovery that Canada has to offer....
Biographie:
Daniel J. Demers was inspired to delve deeper into his family's history after reading a book about his family's coat of arms that contained a lot of facts but no real story. Hoping to bring that tale to life, he dove into the research, eventually producing several short chapters on his family's heritage. Having built up so much momentum, by the time he reached the story of his own life, he found he was unable to stop, extending the narrative all the way into the present. He hopes these stories of ordinary people doing incredible things amidst their everyday lives will inspire others to seek positivity and goodness and remind them of the importance of family. Daniel lives in Oakville, Ontario, with his wife, Linda. This is his first book.
