Biographie:

Horst Czichos hat einen Abschluss in Feinmechanik und arbeitete als Konstrukteur in der optischen Industrie. Er hat Abschl?sse in Physik (FU Berlin) und in Materialwissenschaften (TU Berlin) und erhielt von der Universit?t Leuven die Ehrendoktorw?rde f?r seine interdisziplin?ren Forschungen im Bereich Tribologie. Er war Pr?sident der BAM (1992 bis 2002) und von EUROLAB. Derzeit ist er Professor f?r Mechatronik an der Hochschule f?r Technik und Wirtschaft (BHT) Berlin. In seinen Ver?ffentlichungen betont Dr. Czichos die Bedeutung des Systemdenkens in Wissenschaft und Technik. Im Jahr 2013 ver?ffentlichte er ein Buch ?ber den Dreiklang Philosophie - Physik - Technik, das als englische Ausgabe unter dem Titel The Word is Triangular (Springer 2021) erschien.
