In an era shaped by rapid technological change, Connie White Delaney stands out as a leader who marries compassion with computational power. With her belief in leading with love, Delaney blends her expertise in building integrated communities, programs, and systems with the revolutionary capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI). As Professor and Dean at the School of Minnesota's School of Nursing and Knowledge Generation Lead for the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education, Delaney knows that artificial intelligence needs to be utilized. She also believes in the importance of guiding this new intelligence by leading with love. An internationally recognized thought leader, Delaney's contributions to the field are expansive, from serving as an Associate Director of the Clinical Translational Science Institute-Biomedical Informatics to acting as the Director of the Institute for Health Informatics (IHI) in the Academic Health Center. She received an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing from the University of Iceland in 2011 and serves as an adjunct professor there, illustrating her global reach and influence. Delaney is also a devoted researcher in data and IT standards for nursing, healthcare, and interprofessional practice and education. Her efforts extend to big data science and integrative informatics, aiming to bridge disciplinary divides and harness the power of information to effect positive change. Delaney is past President of the Foundation of the National Institutes of Nursing Research (FNINR) and past Vice-Chair of CGFNS, Inc.
