Memories can fade over time, and documenting experiences helps to preserve them in a tangible form. It allows one to create a personal archive of life, so one will remember essential experiences. Impactful and positive life experiences of anyone not documented and passed onto others are a waste. Today, we study and read about great Greek philosophers because their great works have been written and recorded. I felt a duty to share my experiences as a father, husband, small business owner, entrepreneur, registered domestic relation mediator, child advocate with the Court system, and, above all, Christian layman-minister. Wearing many hats and functioning in those simultaneously allowed me to have a broader perspective on life issues. Word Tonic is a collection of quotes that encapsulate part of knowledge and life experiences' wisdom imbibed over time and that I am passionate about and wish to pass down to others, especially the coming generations. I put the quotes together over various times and seasons of life, accompanied by the thoughts behind each quote. I have always had guiderails in all aspects of my life, helping me stay on course, focused, and self-motivated, and this is what the book is about. It is about being a better version of oneself daily. I fall back on these quotes for inspiration and guidance as needed, and I am sure they will bless others, too. While writing Word Tonic, I enjoyed and had the opportunity for self-reflection. Reviewing past events can give insight into one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This reflection helps me understand myself better, identify patterns, and learn from positive and negative experiences. It promotes personal growth and enables one to make more informed decisions. I am grateful for the opportunity to share documented experiences with others because this allows me to communicate and connect more deeply with family, friends, or the coming generations. Word Tonic provides a window into your life and has the potential to spark conversations, foster understanding, and strengthen relationships. Sharing my thoughts and experiences also contributes to the collective human narrative, promoting empathy and a sense of commonality.
