As Kate closed the door to her classroom, having completed her first year of teaching, she couldn't help but feel excited about her plans for the summer. She looked forward to spending time with Stuart Coghill, the handsome and charming young businessman she recently started dating. Her plans also included attending a writer's course where she hoped to learn how to write children's books and become a published author. With her career on track, a relationship budding and her creative pursuit within reach, life couldn't be better.
But her dreams and plans are shattered by a tragic accident, a broken relationship, and an unexpected trip to Vancouver Island. Romance, mystery and danger become a part of her visit to see a grandmother she has never met. Will Kate realize that her plans disintegrated only to be replaced by a better plan and hope for the future?
