Considering the Journey: One Doctor's Perspective breaks the task down into discrete doable steps readers may not identify with, but utilize in their own journey to personal fulfillment, academic or otherwise. The book's take-home message is direct, impactful. Find your passion and pursue it like there's no tomorrow. Dr. Evans explains how the book was initially planned to be longer, but he feels as if it would have distracted from the main point. Considering the Journey is easy to follow as he made the right choice by not filling it with a bunch of jargon. This book is not for everyone, but that is by design. If you are someone who is on the fence about whether they should go back to school again for a Ph.D., you will get a lot out of it. Dr. Evans was born and raised in Buffalo, N. Y. A 30-year Navy Veteran who retired in 2004, worked for the Navy after retirement as theDirector of Public Health at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, California for 15 years. He completed his Doctoral Degree in Health Administration from The University of Phoenix in 2016 and holds several degrees in Healthcare and Business Management.
