Boy Scouts in Southern Waters by G. Harvey Ralphson is an adventurous tale featuring four Boy Scouts-Jack Stanley, Harry Harvey, Tom Blackwood, and Arnold Poysor-on a mission aboard the motorboat Fortuna. The story unfolds in the Gulf of Mexico, where the boys encounter a series of challenges and mysterious events. Initially, they face a dense fog that tests their navigation skills. During this ordeal, they rescue a man named Carlos Madero, who later disappears under suspicious circumstances, leaving behind a note that suggests a plot against the boys. The narrative takes a thrilling turn when the Scouts discover that they are being pursued by unknown adversaries intent on preventing them from finding a legendary Spanish treasure chest. This treasure is rumored to be hidden in an old Spanish fort on Biloxi Bay and can only be unearthed under specific conditions.
