There are some people who just can't tolerate your success. They may not necessarily be 'others' but may even be your 'own'. Nevertheless they will always highlight some or the other deficiency in you and try to pull you down . If you are capable they will raise the ghosts of your past. If your past is impeccable they shall question your capability and if they find nothing else, they shall make do by making fun of your looks or appearance . Why? because your success challenges their status in the society and proves their worthlessness. And other common people? We believe they are free, but they are not. These so called free men can't even think on their own. Their thoughts, their definitions are decided by others. They live like sheep, move in flocks, shepherded whereever by their butchers. But even though these sheep are the society, each one bleats just me, me, me.

Don't just believe, understand. The sooner you understand the faster you will get rid of this delusion of love. Just as getting a job is the most important phase in the life of a man, his means of living, his status; marriage, for an Indian woman, is her means of living and her status. Marriage is 'job' for women. This is still the truth of most of the poor and middle class households in India. Society asks a man, his job and a woman, her husband.
