Résumé :
For years, Stella has kept a secret, but the truth she has concealed for so long is in danger of becoming public knowledge and destroying everyone and everything she cares about. In a London hospital following a hit-and-run accident, Stella asks her daughter Giorgia to go to the family's summer house in Italy to retrieve some sensitive paperwork. Despite Giorgia's private vow never to go back to the house, her mother's insistence compels her to return. Arriving in Italy and discovering the papers are missing, Giorgia finds herself caught in a maze where old grudges and long-hidden truths collide with the demands of the present. When she learns her mother is not the only person who wants the documents, she realises she can no longer be sure who to trust. One thing, though, is clear - regaining possession of the documents could be as dangerous as not locating them at all ......
