    • Résumé :
The novel follows the life of Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, from his birth in the Caribbean to his rise to prominence as a key figure in the American Revolution and the early years of the new nation. The novel explores the challenges Hamilton faced growing up as an illegitimate child and his struggle to rise above his circumstances and achieve success through his intelligence, ambition, and determination. It also delves into Hamilton's complex relationships with the other Founding Fathers, including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Aaron Burr. Throughout the novel, Osborne portrays Hamilton as a larger-than-life figure, a brilliant and charismatic leader who played a pivotal role in shaping the course of American history. The novel captures the drama and intensity of the Revolutionary War and the early years of the new nation, and offers a vivid portrait of the political and social landscape of the time. Overall, The Lion's Brood is a compelling and insightful exploration of the life and legacy of one of America's most influential Founding Fathers.
