Wanda Allen says that women who shared their personal stories inspired and encouraged her to share some of her secrets. SHARING SECRETS: Strength, Inspiration, and Healing Found in Revealing My Past, shares Wanda Allen's personal story of emotional pain endured through life and the difficulty of giving up drugs and alcohol, even after finding Jesus. Like many who deal with emotional illness, Wanda studied psychology and entered the mental-health field to understand her issues better. She recounts the experience of serving as an intern in a facility where she had once been a patient. Drawing on her own experience, Wanda offers a wealth of advice and encouragement to anyone in emotional pain. She urges those who are hurting to seek healing by bringing their burdens to God in prayer and sharing their secrets with others if they feel led by God. Included in the volume are poems, song lyrics, Bible passages, and encouraging quotations. Wanda also shares a letter she felt inspired to write for the world from our Heavenly Father and Jesus. She hopes that by sharing her story, others will find the comfort and joy that comes through reading and obeying God's Word, loving Jesus, and being filled with the Holy Spirit. Biographie:
Wanda Hyatt Allen is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Spelman College and a master's degree in social work from Clark Atlanta University. She has ministered in psychiatric hospitals and prisons. Her mission in life is to encourage people and win souls for Christ.
