Présentation The Disconsolate de Bell, B Elizabeth Format Broché
- Livre Science-fiction
Résumé :
Aislin receives an unexpected phone call from James' brother. The only man she's ever loved is dead. She immediately packs her car and starts the long drive from the Pacific Northwest to her college town. Settling into the guestroom at James' mansion is complicated by the uneasy company of his widow. As the summer heat winds down in Coachella Valley, California, Aislin finds James haunting the hallways. Death cannot stop love and sparks reignite. But it turns out that Aislin isn't the only one who can see James. Soon, a spiral of uncertainty ensnares the family. A plan to help him move on conflicts with the pain of saying goodbye forever. Questions arise about the mystery of his death, and the family scrambles to cover up a secret that will tear them apart....
Biographie:
Life-long writer Brandy (B) Elizabeth Bell is a novelist (The Disconsolate), blogger/visual artist (Cat Over Clock), graphic artist (The Windy Path Tarot, in progress), and foreword writer (Sybil of the Flora: Felicia Howe) who keeps adding volcanoes to her mountain mural in the attic. You can find her prose in the online journal Collaborature. Having pursued a Bachelor's in English and certificates in writing and health-related fields, she is also an avid learner. Bell is a member of the writing group the Fly-by-Nights-born from a Write Around Portland Prompt workshop in 2015. Answer Back with Beauty is her first poetry and art collection and will be featured in Float On's Art Gallery as part of Artist's Who Float. A historical fiction novel about a madam struggling with westward expansion at the turn-of-the-19th-century is underway. Bell found inspiration for The Disconsolate from her fascination with ghosts, personal experiences with grief, and the histories of her Slavic and Italian heritages....
Sommaire:
B Elizabeth Bell lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband Jeffrey, their cats Artemis and Tansy and spirit cat, Basil. Her first novel naturally combines her lifelong fascination with ghosts and love for the epistolary. Religion and spirituality captivates her: the rituals, the communities, the questions. B loves cooking, eating, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and collecting rocks from any location, but especially the Oregon Coast or the mountains and deserts of Arizona. She shares a weekly writing practice with her generative group, the Fly-by-Nights, is a short-story contributor to the Truck Wine anthology, and has written online at Cat Over Clock....
