He wrote the children's book 'Does anyone love me? A nature odyssey for children' to encourage parents and children to engage with nature. The book includes an appendix with suggestions on how to minimize harm from dangerous insects and arachnids, suggestions based on Dussourd's experiences teaching college biology, including entomology, for 32 years.
