In einem aufw?ndigen Projekt wurden f?r dieses Buch zu Fotografien der DDR-Grenztruppen Vergleichsbilder aus dem modernen Berlin gemacht. Erg?nzt durch Luftaufnahmen aus der Zeit vor und nach dem Mauerfall entsteht so ein einzigartiges Panorama der Berliner Mauer, anhand dessen man den historischen Wandel im Stadtbild konkret nachvollziehen kann. Today the remains of the Berlin Wall have more or less disappeared. This book is the result of an extensive project using photographs taken by GDR border troops in 1988 and 1989 and comparing them with photographs of modern Berlin. Aerial photographs from the same periods complement the collection to make a unique panorama of the Berlin Wall and enable the reader to trace the historic change in the Berlin cityscape. Over 200 photos and maps - photographic material of the death strip published for the first time....

Biographie:
Bennet Schulte, geboren 1982, aufgewachsen in Berlin, studierte Kartographie und Geoinformation. Von 2009 bis 2011 war er Forschungsassistent an der Beuth Hochschule f?r Technik Berlin und seit 2010 Doktorand an der Technischen Universit?t Dresden. Er erhielt mehrere Auszeichnungen f?r seine Arbeit im wissenschaftlichen und kreativen Bereich. Zahlreiche Publikationen ?ber virtuelle Globen, Geoinformationssysteme und Softwareentwicklung....
