Retha is a planet without much magic. The Wooshidooz creatures must work hard to live there-clearing away plastic leaves, making pollen, collecting and moving water, and more. Living on Planet Retha is a lot of work-but the Wooshidooz love their planet because it is home. For bedtime stories, the little Wooshidooz learn about a place called Earth, the Magic Planet, and they know it must be made up. But one little Wooshidooz named Anaag knows that Earth is real and is determined to learn about its magic. A Tale of Two Planets captures the wonder and awe of self-sustaining Earth, inspires gratitude for our planet, and reminds us to take care of our very special home.
Biographie:
Mary Trudeau believes that science is important, but most of all we need to love our planet as a magnificent place where everything is interconnected and there is magic to be found if we remember to look for it. She is a professional engineer specializing in water resources with a PhD in geography. She has worked to develop environmental policy and programs for several decades and runs an environmental consultant company, Envirings Inc. She lives in Ottawa and spends lots of time enjoying the outdoors with her family and friends.
