He started writing poetry in school, and during college, he won first prize in the English poetry contest for three consecutive years. Also, during college, he became co-head of the poetry club in Egypt's best-selling English magazine. After graduating in computer & management sciences, he joined Nile TV International as an editor, then moved up to be an editor-in-chief, reporter and news anchor. He later used his creative and writing skills in public relations, advertisement, marketing, and copyrighting. After spending six years writing his first novel, he sent the manuscript to Her Majesty the Queen to reward himself morally.
