Die Transformation einer ehemaligen Textilfabrik zum BOB CAMPUS in Wuppertal-Oberbarmen zeigt, wie aus einer urbanen Brache ein offener Ort der Stadtteilgesellschaft wird. In zwei B?nden werden die Gestaltungsabl?ufe des preisgekr?nten Areals sichtbar. Der zuerst erscheinende Band 1 widmet sich dem Bauprozess und den sich nach und nach entwickelnden Raumqualit?ten: Durch das Zusammenspiel aus innovativen L?sungen f?r architektonische Herausforderungen, dem wertsch?tzenden Umgang mit dem historischen Ort und der vorhandenen Bausubstanz sowie einem kontinuierlich koproduktiven Prozess vieler Akteur*innen entsteht eine einzigartige Nutzungsmischung aus Kita, Schulr?umen, B?ros, Wohnungen und Gemeinschaftsfl?chen. Starke Bilder veranschaulichen, wie es gelingen kann, Gemeinwohl zu bauen - und welche Chance f?r die Gesellschaft darin liegt. Eine Anregung zum Nachahmen.

Montag Stiftung Urbane R?ume is based in Bonn, and acts as an independent partner to municipalities, organizations, and civil initiatives in urbanized areas shaped by underprivileged social and economic conditions. Following its original approach with the name of initial capital and based on the concept of responsible ownership, the foundation develops estates offering new opportunities and providing a lasting contribution to their surroundings.
The foundation is currently exploring co-productive processes for urban development across six projects. Once the buildings are renovated and fully leased the projects become self-funding, and provide space for community engagement. Fair rents generate a moderate surplus which is used to support community projects in the immediate neighborhoods throughout the projects operating period. ...
