Résumé :
Young Matt Batchelor is ambitious but penniless. He is learning so much from his employer, Doctor Erasmus Darwin, but will it be enough? The Doctor's friends in the Lunar Society have made their way to positions of power and influence yet some of them began life as poor men. Matt is determined to follow their example. Just as Matt's fortunes seem to be looking up his African friend Scipio mysteriously disappears. Biographie:
Christina Eastwood has written children's stories since she was a small child herself. She discovered how much youngsters enjoy historical fiction when teaching her own children and found that reading about engaging characters in an accurate setting was the best way to stimulate a child's interest in history. Christina's other books include The Story of God's Dealings with our Nation, a children's history book in two volumes, Not Without Tears, a biography of educational pioneer Favell Lee Mortimer, three books in the Wulfgar the Saxon series and Heart of Rebellion set during the Monmouth Rebellion....
