Résumé :
You can't keep a good ghost down. When Everly Dupree agrees to be Maid of Honor for friend and attorney, Patrea Heard, she has no idea that before she can slip into her dress for the ceremony, she'll be called on to don her sleuthing hat. Arriving for a tasting party, Everly and Patrea discover the caterer is dead and realize they barely escaped being served a plateful of poisoned death. Another catering client would not be so lucky. Now, two people are dead, and the local Sheriff agrees with Everly. This was no accident, but his hands are tied until the ME rules a homicide, and since that's probably not going to happen, he asks Everly to help with the investigation. The caterer might be gone, but she has not departed, and now it's up to Everly to avenge another ghost before Patrea says, I do....
Biographie:
A reader practically from birth, ReGina Welling lives in Maine with her husband, a silly flufferpup named Dash, and a crazy cat named Cricket. She writes full-time and also creates mixed-media artwork when she gets the chance. ReGina and her daughter, Erin Lynn, are writing partners, having penned four series together with surprisingly few arguments!...
Sommaire:
Everly Dupree expected cake and canap?s. What she got was murder. Being Maid of Honor for her friend Patrea's wedding means Everly has a full plate-dress fittings, menu tastings, and one very controlling mother-of-the-bride who's determined to micromanage her way to the altar. But things take a deadly turn when Everly and Patrea show up to the caterer's tasting party and find the chef face-down in a bowl of frosting. The cause of death? Poison. One murder might be coincidence, but when another one of the caterer's clients turns up dead the very next day, Patrea's wedding is hanging by a thread. Everyone's hoping it's a coincidence. Everly's gut says otherwise-and she's not the only one. Sheriff Ernie Polk needs proof to move forward, and while he's not exactly asking Everly to investigate, he's not telling her to stay out of it either. But he caterer's ghost isn't being helpful, the guest list is thinning, and Everly's starting to think the big day might end with a body count instead of a bouquet toss. She'll have to untangle this knot of secrets fast-before someone decides the Maid of Honor should be next. Because in Mooselick River, even a wedding can be a killer event....
