Theodore Sturgeon (1918-1985) was an American science fiction and fantasy writer whose work brought unusual emotional depth and psychological insight to mid-twentieth-century speculative fiction. Emerging from the pulp magazine era, Sturgeon quickly distinguished himself through stories that emphasized character, vulnerability, and moral complexity rather than mere technological spectacle.He is best known for works such as More Than Human, which explores themes of collective identity and human potential, and for numerous short stories that remain widely anthologized.
