It's the end of 2022 and James Ballantyne has been out of action for months. The Covid Pandemic has left him with no cash and prospects. At 35, he needs to get in shape, so enrols in a course of 'Marine Fitness.' It's doubtful company and leads to contact with tempting, but shady deals. He joins one but trying to extricate himself has dangerous consequences, one of which is, his passion for a blond heiress. Hunted by killers, he takes cover with her in the Cayman Islands and, too late, discovers her secret. His only way out is to separate and try to secure her future. With danger behind him, he spends time in London, hoping to resurrect his contact with M.I.5 but without success. A casual contact with an ex-army friend plunges him into a rescue operation.
