This book is a set of 30 reading passages with comprehension questions appropriate for second-grade students, focusing only on decodable words and teaching struggling readers at the word level, including all decodable texts that focus on phonics skills. In these phases, 4, 5, 6, children will learn the sounds that letters make (phonemes). There are 30 sounds in all, 20 of which are made with three letters, and the 10 most common two-letter sounds.
