The last thing Phillip Hawkins wants is to return to the small town where he grew up. Especially now when his fledgling business is on the verge of collapse. But when his uncle calls to tell him his mother is in the hospital after overdosing on sleeping pills, guilt and duty compel him to return to Mylin Valley. He hopes to keep his presence in town under the radar, but a run-in with an old friend, and his friend's attractive sister, brings Phillip an unexpected source of support and encouragement. And when a new business opportunity lands at his feet, maybe returning might not be so bad after all. As his mom recovers, Phillip isn't certain her overdose was an accident, like she claims. Biographie:
Angela E. Powell started her journey of understanding mental health issues in 2013 when she became step-mom to a boy with special needs. Through her own experiences, and a decade of research, she developed a passion for bringing awareness to the mental health issues most people don't know much about. This is how the Mylin Valley series was born. When she isn't writing, Angela takes care of her family, runs a business, and homesteads on 3+ acres of land in Huntsville, Utah.
