Résumé :
One Believer's Thoughts is a short book about God, or rather one believer's thinking about God. It concerns the God who is both the infinite, all-powerful Creator of the universe and the God who is kind, forgiving, helpful, and present to us right here. He is a father, our Father. There are a number of short reflections in nontechnical language, leaving readers to reflect on topics and questions using their own experience. Also, there is a longer reflection on retirement that considers God's continuing call to those who have moved on from their structured work lives. The book is written for ordinary people whose real lives are often complicated and situated in an equally complicated world. Dennis Sullivan is from the Judeo-Christian tradition, a Roman Catholic, but the thoughts are for all....
Biographie:
he started a family, and found out that his talents were no more valuable in Canada than they were in England. Like a lot of Londoners growing up in the '50s and '60s he did many jobs and was fortunate to go off to Spain in the late sixties to look after happy holiday-makers when he didn't speak the language nor know anything about the resort. He continued with that responsible and mature attitude in Canada and has prospered ever since. In a way Dennis's novel is a celebration of survival....
