Prickly's Prickle Problem is an illustrated picture book for children designed to convey a message of kindness, acceptance, and tolerance, and to inspire them to be proud of who they are. Prickly is a very friendly and simple porcupine with a BIG problem. His sharp quills make it difficult for him to fit in. No matter how hard he tries to be nice, he ends up hurting others - so much so that his friends run away from him and won't include him in their games. Now this makes Prickly sad. He knows it's not his fault, but he can't help but wonder what if he were different? Or better still, what if there was someone who would accept him for who he was? Prickly decides to search for a place of comfort: a friend who would be kind and brave enough to hug a porcupine with quills. So he begins his journey through the woods. Along the way, he meets elephants, monkeys, sloth bears, and oh dear, Snakes! He tries to befriend them, but soon realizes that it is just not meant to be! Biographie:
Dr. Rupamanjari Majumder is a scientist, an artist and an award-winning children's author. She is also the proud mother of two wonderful children. Writing has been her passion since childhood. She enjoys coming up with original, out-of-the-'hat' stories that show the extraordinary side of ordinary events and characters. She also enjoys reading, making miniatures, travelling and spending time with her family. As an author, She especially loves helping children let their creativity and imagination run wild by creating a fantastic world of fun, excitement and adventure for them to explore. All her books are dedicated to this goal.
