The words and illustrations make it appropriate for most situations, no matter the family dynamics, race, culture, or relationship to the deceased. This book gives families the words to use after loss. It can be used as a tool in therapy or with grief groups....
Biographie:
Laura Camerona, CCLS, started her career as a Child Life Specialist in a children's hospital. After 15 years of working with children and families in a variety of stressful situations, Laura started writing books that caregivers could read with their children. The books help the caregivers find the words for hard important conversations with their own kids. A mom of 3 herself, Laura knows that even when you know what you want to say to your kids, your own emotions and thoughts can get in the way.Laura created Words Worth Repeating with the idea that kids can benefit from simple honest explanations from the people they love. Words Worth Repeating creates both customized books for individual families and books that are appropriate for many different families dealing with a similar stressful situations. Laura loves to collaborate with organizations that can serve their populations by creating books that support families. Her books are inclusive of all family dynamics, races, and cultures. Many of her books are useful in therapy and support group environments as well....
