Résumé : This book addresses a central urban design issue: how to bring an urban design from concept to reality. The book will interest community leaders, urban design professionals, and the students, instructors, and practitioners of urban design and city planning.
Biographie: Jonathan Barnett has been an urban design advisor to the cities of Charleston, SC, Cleveland, Kansas City, Miami, Nashville, New York City, Norfolk, Omaha, and Pittsburgh in the United States and Xiamen and Tianjin in China. He has also advised the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the National Park Service, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the National Capital Planning Commission. He is the author of many books and articles about urban design and planning and is a professor emeritus of practice in city and regional planning at the University of Pennsylvania.
