Laura MacLeod is a trained pastry chef who graduated from the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts. Previously, she owned and ran The Old Apothecary Bakery & Cafe in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is currently establishing her new business, Foraging For Carbs. Laura lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with her soon-to-be husband, Jeff. Her daughter, Katie, lives nearby and ran the front of house operations for her bakery. Her son, Donald, lives with his wife, Emily, in Vancouver, British Columbia-both are also graduates of the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts, but are now pursuing other careers.
