Présentation Scorpia de Anthony Horowitz Format Broché
- Livre Anglais loisir
Résumé :
Alex Rider is in Venice, looking for secrets long buried in the past. Was his father really a ruthless assassin - and if so, what does that make Alex ? The truth lies with a shadowy organization called Scorpia. But, as Alex draws near, Scorpia is planning a huge operation which will destroy the British and American alliance and destabilize the world. Alex's fifth adventure is his most personal yet. Soon he will continue to work for M16, who have manipulated and betrayed him ? Or will Alex join Scorpia - and get his revenge ?
Biographie:
This is the fifth Alex Rider book - eagerly awaited in countries all around the world, now including Russia, China, America and Japan. Anthony Horowitz says: This book fills in many of the details about Alex's past and finally reveals the truth about his father. And there are a couple of big surprises along the way... Anthony's research has been as thorough as always. There's a secret weapon in Scorpia called Invisible Sword. Although it may sound fantastical, as far as I can tell the technology exists and be used at any Lime. I didn't make it up. That's what makes it so scary. Anthony is a popular and prolific children's writer. In 2003 he was delighted to win the Red House Children's Book Award because it is voted for entirely by children. Stormbreaker was shortlisted for the same award in 2000 and Point Blanc was shortlisted in 2001. He also writes extensively for TV, with programmes including Midsomer Murders, Murder in Mind and Poirot. His hugely popular Sunday night drama series Foyle's War won the Law Grade Audience Award in 2003. His first adult novel, The Killing Joke, comes out in August 2004 and his horror film The Gathering should be released at the same time. Anthony is currently working on a series of five fantasy novels for Walker Books. He describes these as Alex Rider with devils and witches He has also written the screenplay of the film of Stormbreaker, which is moving ever closer to production, and - after his successful tour of Australia in 2003 - he is planning a new adventure, set there, for the Diamond brothers: The Radius of the Lost Shark. He is still married to the television producer Jill Green and lives in north London with his two sons, Nicholas and Cassian, and their dog, Yucky.
