An introduction to the pioneering work of Joel #Meyerowitz (b.1938), one of photography's great innovators and a highly influential teacher still working today. The first book to encompass all genres of Meyerowitz's work, including his black-and-white street photography and full-colour Cape Cod seascapes. Charts the award-winning photographer's development with a chronologically presented sequence of 55 images accompanied by Meyerowitz's own commentary and entertaining anecdotes. Includes an introductory essay by Colin Westerbeck, former Curator of Photography at The Art Institute of Chicago.
Biographie:
Colin Westerbeck is Curator of Photography at The Art Institute of Chicago and an award-winning critic and writer. His books include Bystander, A History of Street Photography, which he co-authored with Joel Meyerowitz.
