Biographie:
Rosie Whitehouse is a freelance journalist based in London. She has written for a wide array of publications including the Sunday Telegraph, The Independent, the Guardian and the Daily Mail. She is the author of a number of travel guides including Family Guide : Paris (Dorling Kindersley, 2012) and Take the Kids : South of France (Cadogan, 2003), and her own autobiography Are We There Yet ? Travels with my Frontline Family (Reportage Press, 2007), which chronicles the experiences of a young family coming to terms with having a front-line reporter as a dad, and centres on the five years she spent as a housewife in the war-torn Balkans with her journalist husband, Tim Judah. Rosie is one of the UK's leading experts on family travel, and over the last 30 years she has explored every corner of Liguria with her family. While updating the last edition of the guide, Rosie discovered the story of the thousands of Holocaust survivors who passed through Italy after the end of the Second World War. In recent years Rosie has written extensively about the period 1944-48.
